What goes on a landscaping estimate?
Materials in the units they are bought in: topsoil and mulch by the cubic yard, sod and pavers by the square foot, edging by the foot, plants by the pot size. Crew hours go on a separate line, then delivery, disposal and equipment rental if a machine is coming. When materials and labour sit apart, a client who wants to save money can drop the shrubs without asking you to redo the whole estimate.
How do you calculate a landscaping estimate?
Measure the area, convert it into the units you buy materials in, then add labour. For soil or mulch, square feet times depth in inches, divided by 324, gives cubic yards. Six hundred square feet at three inches deep is about 5.6 yards, so order 6. Labour is crew size times hours. Add 10 percent to materials for waste and uneven ground.
For recurring lawn care, price per visit and state the visits per season. That tells the client the number they actually care about, the season total, and the per-visit price is right there on the sheet.
Are landscaping quotes free?
For installation work, usually yes. For design work with drawings and a planting plan, landscapers often charge a design fee and credit it against the build. Say which one you do up front. "Free quote" pages get the click from people searching for exactly that phrase near them.
How do I turn this into a PDF?
Fill in the sheet, press "Print or save as PDF", and pick "Save as PDF" (or "Microsoft Print to PDF") as the printer. Only the sheet prints: the page around it, the buttons and the remove marks are left off. On a phone, the share button in the print preview sends the PDF straight to email or WhatsApp.
