Privacy Policy
What we collect, in two voices
and what we never do
This policy covers devshutter.in. Left of the fold is what each clause means in our words. Right of the fold is the clause as written — that is the one that counts.
Last updated June 2026
The short version
- We collect what you send us, and the basic traffic data every site receives.
- We use it to reply to you and to keep the site running.
- We never sell it, and we share it only with the tools that run our business.
- Ask to see it, correct it or delete it, any time, and we will.
DevShutter ("DevShutter", "we", "us") builds and maintains websites for clients worldwide, including Oakville and the Greater Toronto Area, from Mohali, India. This policy explains what information we collect through devshutter.in, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to respond to you and run our site.
Information we collect
What you type into our form, and the ordinary traffic data every website receives.
Information you give us: when you submit our contact or quote form, book a call, or email us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, and the project information you share. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project.
Information collected automatically: like most websites, we collect basic technical and usage data such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring page. This helps us keep the site secure, fast, and useful. We use privacy-respecting analytics and do not sell this data.
Cookies and analytics
A few cookies, so we can see which pages do their job. Block them and the site still works.
We use a small number of cookies and analytics tools (for example, to understand which pages are popular and to measure form submissions). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may work differently if you do. Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
How we use your information
To answer you, to do the work, to keep the site up and legal. That is the whole list.
We use the information we collect to respond to your enquiries and provide quotes; to deliver and improve our services; to operate, secure, and improve our website; and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Sharing your information
Only with the tools that run the studio — hosting, email, analytics — and only the part they need.
We share information only with service providers that help us run our business — for example, website hosting, email delivery, and analytics — and only to the extent they need it to perform those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Data retention
We keep your enquiry while it is useful and while the law says we must. Then it goes.
We keep enquiry and project information for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Ask what we hold. Ask us to correct it. Ask us to delete it. Ask us to stop writing. Any of those, by email.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time. Canadian users have rights under PIPEDA; users in other regions may have additional rights under their local laws.
Security
We protect it the way we harden client sites, and we keep the number of people who can see it small.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit who can access it.
Changes to this policy
If the policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Nothing changes quietly.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
That is everything we do with your data. If a line here ever stops being true, this page changes the same day.
