8+ years building websites, 40+ sites launched. We do the work on every project ourselves, from the first call to launch.

Ask what a website costs in Australia and most answers are a range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands, then a request for a call. This page publishes our own Australia price list in Australian dollars, says what each bracket includes, gives tradies a straight figure, and shows what we found when we tested Sydney and Melbourne agency websites.

How much does a website cost in Australia in 2026?

Our published Australia prices start at $1,099 for a site of up to three pages, $2,699 for up to five, $5,499 for up to twelve, and $11,000 for a flagship build, all in Australian dollars. An online store starts at $3,249. The number of pages and what they have to do sets the price, not which city you are in.

What does each price bracket include?

Each step up adds pages with a real job to do. Three pages cover who you are and how to reach you. Five add the services a customer weighs up. Twelve carry a blog or case studies you edit yourself, and the flagship build talks to your booking, stock or customer systems.

Every tier is on the pricing page, line by line. Your figure is fixed in writing before any work starts, and after a refundable booking you see a basic build with its design direction inside 48 hours. If the direction is wrong, the booking is refunded in full; then it is 50% on approval and 50% at go-live.

How much does a website for a tradie cost in Australia?

For most tradies, $2,699. That buys five pages: home, your services, the suburbs you cover, reviews and photos of past jobs, and a contact page with a quote form and a number a customer can tap to call. A sole trader who just needs to be found and rung can start on the three-page bracket at $1,099.

A plumber, sparky or builder wins work on three things: showing up when someone nearby searches for the job, a page that opens fast on a phone, and a call button that is impossible to miss. Getting your Google Business Profile set up properly is a one-off $439, and keeping you in the map pack is $319 a month.

More in websites for trades and home services. If you quote by hand, the free plumbing estimate template and landscaping estimate template print a tidy quote without a spreadsheet.

How much does an online store cost in Australia?

There are two bills. The build is ours: $3,249 for up to 50 products, or $7,749 for up to 500 with abandoned-cart recovery and email flows. The platform’s monthly plan is charged by Shopify, at the price on Shopify’s own pricing page.

How do Sydney and Melbourne web agencies’ own websites score?

In September 2026 we put the homepages of 32 web design and SEO agencies from Sydney and Melbourne search results through the nine checks our free audit runs. Only 1 passed all nine, in Sydney; none of the 17 in Melbourne did. The median agency passed 5 of 9 in Sydney and 6 of 9 in Melbourne.

22 of the 32 (69%) fell short on technical SEO basics such as titles, descriptions and alt text, 19 (59%) on security headers such as HSTS, and 6 (19%) on structured data. A studio that skips these on its own site may skip them on yours, so check before you sign: the free nine-point audit runs on any address.

What does a website cost every month after launch?

Hosting, the domain renewal, and someone to keep the site updated and fixed. Our Australia care plans start at $139 a month, with $329 a month for a site that keeps changing. A Shopify store also pays Shopify’s plan and any paid apps directly to Shopify.

Why do Australian website quotes vary so much?

Because the quotes rarely cover the same work. Line two quotes up on four things: pages with a job, who writes the words, whether hosting and a year of fixes are included, and a live date in writing. Seven questions to ask before hiring a web designer covers the rest, and a second opinion on a quote in your hand is free.

How do I get an exact price for my website?

Tell us the one thing your current site is not doing. You get a reply inside one business day, and, after a refundable booking, a basic build with its design direction inside 48 hours. Wrong direction? The booking comes back in full. Then 50% on approval, 50% at go-live. We work with Australian businesses by video call and WhatsApp. Calls are agreed in advance, and every message gets a reply inside one business day.

Ask for your fixed price, or run the free audit on the site you have now.
